PETR JORDAN It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Petr on Sunday, October 23, 2016. Petr was 69. Petr was born in Mikulov, Czechoslovakia on June 14, 1947. His family eventually moved to Krhanice, Czechoslovakia. Shortly after he married, he left for Canada and arrived in Winnipeg in December 1968. Surviving Petr is his son Peter (Soula), sister Milada, and nephews Michael, Radek, Robert, Pavel, Alan and Michael. Petr was predeceased by his parents Jan and Milada, and his brothers, Jan and Pavel. A tool and die maker by trade, his first job in Canada was at Canadian Tool and Die and then after became a self employed carpenter. He purchased property in Anola, Manitoba in 1980 and began to build his dream cattle ranch. He built his home with his own two hands on the weekends and moved to Anola permanently in 1984. Petr's hands were his greatest tool. He could build or fix anything with the utmost of precision and craftsmanship. His intelligence for anything he needed to fix came to him with ease. His great sense of humour and ability to make you laugh would make the long workdays on the farm easier to bear. His hobbies were numerous. He enjoyed fishing, shooting, canoeing, and gardening. But nothing gave him as much joy as sitting and watching his cattle graze the pastures. He could do this for hours, and did so until his last days. Petr will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him; he leaves behind a legacy that will never be forgotten. In keeping up with Petr's wishes, no service will be held. A private family Celebration of Life gathering will take place at a later date and afterward Petr will then make the final journey home to the old country to rest with his family. www.voyagefuneralhome.com
