Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVIRGINIA MALOLOS LADESMA Surrounded by her loved ones, Virginia Malolos Ladesma passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2016. She was predeceased by her parents, Isabel and Placido, and her loving husband Ireberto, in 1994. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters Maria and Leonisa; her 12 children: Felimon (Maria Paz), Manolito (late Lydia), Florita (late Ricardo), Winifreda (Boy), Eriberto Jr. (Nelia), Antonio (Martina), Alipio (Tessie), Oscar (Arlyn), Roger (Meriam), Gina (Roland), Edgardo (Jennifer), and Maria (Eric); and 45 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren in Canada, USA, and the Philippines. Virginia, also fondly known as Virgie, Inay, Nanay, and Lola, was born on December 1, 1930, in Laguna, Philippines. She met the love of her life, Ireberto (Abrah) and went on to build a loving life together on their coconut plantation with their children. In 1980, with their six youngest children, they took a huge leap of faith and immigrated to Winnipeg, to join their daughter, Winnie. In her new home, Virginia was actively involved with the Filipino Canadian Seniors Association (FILCASA), where she made many great friends over the years. She played a fundamental role in raising her grandchildren by providing them with a nurturing and loving home. Our utmost gratitude goes out to the staff at Extendicare Oakview Place for taking care of Nanay, creating a wonderful home and making her feel very loved. Lamay will be held on Sunday, October 30, at 6:00 p.m. to midnight in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue. Internment to follow in the Philippines. www.voyagefuneralhome.com
