HELEN NEUFELD On November 14, 2016, Mom passed away. She was predeceased by Dad, Henry Neufeld, in 2006. She is survived by her children: Larry (Ruth), Rocky (Shauna), Darlene (Albert), Debbie (Peter), Randy (Charlotte), and Rodney (Debbie), 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; as well as her sisters and brother: Margaret, John, Nettie, and Justine. Mom was born in Cuauhtémoc in 1935 and came to Canada in 1951, to Altona, where she married Dad in 1956, then moving to Winnipeg. In addition to raising a large family, she was also a partner in the family business, managing an international food service operation. After retiring, Mom and Dad moved to Calgary, where they spent several years. In 2006, their greatest joy was to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, with all of their children. After Dad passed away, Mom moved back to Winnipeg where her utmost pleasure was in the time spent with her three special friends, Rusty, Rainy, and Maggie. Mom will be missed by all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as her siblings, who remained close through time. A private gathering will be held this week, and she will then join her beloved husband, interred in Queen's Park, Calgary. A Celebration of Life will take place in January, which will also honour Dad. The family will notify their loved ones as to time and location.
