NICHOLAS BECK It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Nicholas Beck on December 25, 2016. He leaves to mourn his wife Mary-Anne; son David (Sherry); daughter Laelonnae (Glenn); grandchildren Lynn (Willi), Stephanie (Stephen), and Laelonnae (Ryan); great-grandchildren Dominic and Lydia; sisters Helen Bech and Violet Bech, along with numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Nick was predeceased by his daughter Laurie; parents John and Mary; brother Peter; sisters Polly, Annie, Dorothy and Merle, and brothers-in-law Joe, Ed, John and Ed. Nick was a drywall taper and an artist in his trade. He trained many people in the trade of taping to have high standards just as he did. In his younger years Nick loved baseball. In his later years he enjoyed spending time back at Carlowrie gardening. He had a passion for Western and Ukrainian music. He also enjoyed playing Bingo. A special thank you to all the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge for their incredible care. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. at Henderson Highway. Vichnaya Pamyat

Nick was a good friend to my husband, Bill years ago. Once Nick moved to the city, we only saw both of you once in a while. I will never forget how Bill used to tell me about their "younger" years.
