Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMERCEDES NAZARENO GONZALES September 27, 1918 - December 31, 2016 With heavy hearts the family announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Nanay Ched at the age of 98 years. She was predeceased by her husband Delfin Sr., eldest son Adelardo, and her four siblings - Rosario, Basilisa, Presentacion and Jose. Nanay will be lovingly remembered by her children: Editha (Rodolfo) Punzalan, Milagros Gonzales, Edgardo (Erlinda), Rebecca (Ramon) Faunal, Teresita (Efren) Lobaton, Norma (Loreto) Cuevas, Delfin Jr. (Nenita), 22 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews in the Philippines, Canada, United States and Australia. Nanay Ched was born in Naic, Cavite, Philippines and immigrated to Canada in 1975. Nanay will be remembered for her resilience, strength and generosity. Her grandchildren will always remember her amazing cooking and that she remembered every birthday. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 505 Brewster Street (off Regent). A gathering of family and friends will follow in the parish hall. Interment will take place Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family wish to thank the Concordia Hospital ER and N3 East staff for their wonderful care given to our Nanay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Nanay Ched to the Concordia Hospital Foundation for "Operation Walk".
