DAVID ANDREW SUL It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of David (Dave) Andrew Sul at the age of 64. Dave was predeceased by his parents Mike and Fabiola Sul, best friend Debbie Fox, his grandparents and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephew, great-nephew and in-laws. Dave is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Jackie, brothers Clifford Sul (Marlene), Edward Sul (Audrey) and Daniel Sul (Donna), niece Nicole Sul Weibe (Tony), nephew Christopher Sul, and many in-laws (brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews-in-law), aunts, uncles and cousins. Dave was born in St. Boniface Hospital on January 11, 1952. Dave met his true love, Jackie at the age of 14, got engaged at 17 and married her at 18 years old - over 45 years ago. He was born with two holes in his heart and was very ill until age seven when he became only the second child in North America to survive that type of heart graft repair, and true to his sense of determination he is the last survivor of the five children in that initial group of patients. From that moment on Dave became a force to be reckoned with. He lived his life to the absolute fullest, tasting and testing all that life had to offer. After a few different jobs in his early years, Dave discovered the airline business which he loved and spent most of his working years in and around airports. He worked for General Aviation, Transair, Pacific Western, Canadian Airlines, Air Canada and Dryden Air Services. Dave was no doubt greeted gleefully in Heaven by his three children / dogs Toby, Suki and Brandee. Dave and Jackie were lucky enough to travel extensively and eventually discovered cruise ships and were sure to take at least one cruise a year with their travel friends known as "Jackie and the Cruisers". Dave loved spending over 31 years in Spruce Sands Trailer Resort where he made many lifelong friends and started the social committee to create events that would make family life that much more fun on the weekends for everyone. More likely than not most of the funny stories from the past have Dave front and center in them. There was not a dare he would not take or a challenge he would give up on. Dave will be missed terribly by his family and friends but you can be sure that there are a lot of mysterious and mischievous things going on up in Heaven now that he has arrived. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550

I needed somewhere to put this out into the universe somehow, like maybe it will deliver a message for me. I miss you, Uncle Dave, and your big smile, and playing rumoli. I miss listening to the stories of you guys growing up and the trouble you all would get into. I miss family Christmases. I hope you and Uncle Danny are causing trouble up there. Say hi for me, I miss him too. Send love to the clouds. Catch it when it floats by. - Posted by: Nicky (Niece) on: Jun 19, 2024

Jackie and family, my sincere condolences to all of you. Dave was a pleasure to work with, we enjoyed many laughs together. He cared about all the people he worked with and always strived to make it a better place. I have thought of him often throughout the years since moving from Winnipeg. I am disappointed I am unable to be there today to pay my respects to such a wonderful man. Sincerely, Jan - Posted by: Jan Knight (Dave's former work colleague and friend) on: Jan 09, 2017

Jackie, Ed, Dan, and all your family, our sincere condolence to everyone in your sad loss of Dave. As we were neighbours at Spruce Sands for 30 years, Jackie, you and Dave became wonderful friends. I have so many special memories to cherish of our time there. To name a few - Christmas in July, neighbourhood tree cutting, weekend get-togethers, flowers in your fire pit, Bruce and Dave riding around in their 'Boy's Toy'. Dave was a true gentleman, loved by all and will be in our hearts forever. Jackie, I am so sorry that I am unable to be attend as I am out of town but you are in my thoughts and prayers. May Dave rest in peace with his three cherished kids. - Posted by: Delores Lackey and family (Friend) on: Jan 07, 2017

Jackie, Ed & Aud and Danny and rest of the family. Sorry to hear of Daves passing. Living to the fullest is very true. I have fond memories from back when we lived in the Peg and the times we did have contact with the Family. It is too bad it was not as often as we like but time and distance serve as a bit of an obstacle. But please take solice in knowing that we are the richer for having know you Dave and your fur-babies. He will be missed by all whom he touched. - Posted by: Larry & Lorna Bailey.
