NELLIE LEONA MARCOUX Nellie Leona Marcoux passed away peacefully, at home, on April 2, 2017. Nellie was born in Steinbach, Manitoba to John and Lydia (Engbrecht) Andres on July 10, 1951. She married Guy Marcoux in 1972, and after many short lived moves they settled in Brandon, Manitoba in 1981 where they made many lifelong friends. After 10 years they moved back to Winnipeg. Nellie's last job was at Air Canada which afforded her the ability to indulge her love of travelling. She is survived by her loving husband Guy, son Philip, daughter Rachel (Evan) Charbonneau, grandchildren Ethan and Owen; also by her siblings Adina (Doug) Robb, Erna (Dennis) Friesen, John (Edna) Andres, Ron (Cheryl) Andres, Elsie (Larry) Godwin, and Karen (Andy) Andres. She was predeceased by her mother Lydia Andres (1964), father John Andres (2004), stepmother Helen Andres (2010), father-in-law Antonio Marcoux (1986), brother-in-law Louis Spencer (1996), brother-in-law Paul Marcoux (2009), and brother-in-law Ed Pikl (2015). A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, if friends and relatives so desire, donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
