So sorry to hear of John's passing. Living on the west coast I had not seen John for a number of years, but my memories of him from school (St John;s Ravenscourt) & University (Manitoba) days are still strong. The silver Jaguar XKE with Ox (Phil) stuffed in the back carpooling on the way to U of M. Evenings at the apartment listening to Stones, testing different "substances", and quenching our thirst from the glass Boot. Running the bar for one of his Mom's "soirees" and accidentally shooting down one of the curtains with a champagne cork. All good times and good memories. John was a character with a great sense of humour who loved life & I thought of him as a good friend. I never had the chance to meet his wife or children, but my heart goes out to them. Party on John! Pete - Posted by: Pete McCreath (Friend) on: Apr 13, 2017

Hi Colleen - Words can't express how saddened we are to hear of John's passing. John brought so many gifts to our life. We enjoyed his sense of humour and the jokes. I will never forget he was calling me "Ma Ma Wong" when I was pregnant with Penny at District 6. He will be missed. Please make sure to take care of yourself. May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead. See you and the boys on Sunday. - Posted by: Cindy Wong (District Six Gang member) on: Apr 12, 2017
