Following school, she worked as a hostess at Rae and Jerry's Steak House and then as a flight attendant for Air Canada. She remained at Air Canada until her illness no longer allowed her to work. Cheryl loved her sons deeply and was extremely proud of them. Cheryl was a very talented seamstress and knitter. She also had a love of black labs especially her beloved Maxie and Bud. For the past several years, Cheryl resided at Tache (Actionmarguerite) Centre. She received exceptional care there and the staff became her family. Words cannot adequately express the gratitude our family has for the quality of life the staff provided her. Cremation has taken place. At Cheryl's request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the MS Society or Actionmarguarite for the care of patients on Unit 2ABC. www.voyagefuneralhome.com

I am so sad to hear about Cheryl's passing. She was such a lovely women. We met in Montreal for our third interview with Air Canada, which meant you were going to be hired and we were. We celebrated by going to see a movie before our flight home to Winnipeg, American Giglio with Richard Gere. We had life by the tail. We have nephews that are the same age. Before we had our own families we would get the kids together and spend a day full of Auntie activities that we thought they wanted to do, but eventually the kids told us that they just wanted to run through Cheryl's house and out the back door with the dogs chasing them. They knew how to have a good time. When I had my kids, we would go out to Argyle to visit Cheryl and the boys. Those boys were her life. I am glad that we were able to get our children together. We moved to Toronto 20 years ago, so it was harder to see each other. I did visit her in the hospital, and you could see that she had made wonderful friends with the staff. They did her nails, and she had great nails. They would banter with her, and you knew that she was happy there. Cheryl and her family and of course her boys are in my thoughts and prayers. Cheryl was a really lovely person, talented with the sewing machine and crafts, which we had a shared love, and she was so, so smart, with the biggest heart. I will miss her. - Posted by: Jacqueline Jensen (Friend and work colleague) on: Apr 28, 2017
