Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Dearest Bob, So hard to believe it's already been 8 years since God called you home. Time surely flies. Where you are now, time doesn't exist, only love persists, 💞, & I know you are very loved. You will always remain in my heart. "Feeling good was easy Lord when Bobby sang the blues, & Bobby that was good enough for me". 💖 I'll see you down the road one day, Laurie Anderson. - Posted by: Laurie Anderson (Friend/Ex Girlfriend) on: May 04, 2025

  • I have never forgotten Bob's Birthday, which is today, November 28. It is also Thanksgiving Day in the U.S. I will always care for you, Bob. Hard to believe it's been 7 years since you were called Home. You were too young, & you would be 60 yrs old now. Now, you are eternal, safe & sound with God in your new journey. Peace be with you Bobby, & hope to one day see you down the road. Love, Light & Peace, Laurie. 💞 - Posted by: Laurie Anderson (Former Girlfriend/Friend.) on: Nov 28, 2024

  • MY DEEPEST HEARTFELT CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY & FRIENDS OF BOB. I WAS SHOCKED & VERY SADDENED TO LEARN OF HIS UNTIMELY PASSING. I MET BOB AT STAR LAKE BACK IN THE EARLY 80'S, WHEN I WAS 15 YEARS OLD, WHERE MY FAMILY HAD A COTTAGE. THREE YEARS LATER, WE WERE A COUPLE FOR NEARLY 5 YEARS. HE WAS WELCOMED INTO MY FAMILY, & SHARED CHRISTMAS, CHURCH SERVICES WITH MY MOM & I, CELEBRATED THE MARRIAGE OF MY (NOW LATE) BROTHER, & MANY OTHER GET TOGETHERS. BOB HAD A STRONG SPIRIT FOR LIFE, GREAT SENSE OF HUMOUR & LAUGH, A GREAT STORY TELLER & LISTENER, A ZEAL FOR LEARNING NEW THINGS. HE LOVED ANIMALS, GOOD FRIENDS, & LOVED TO BE LOVED. THE LAST TIME I SAW HIM, WAS THE WEEK MY MOM PASSED ON IN JULY '94, & HE CAME BY UNEXPECTEDLY TO PAY HIS RESPECTS. I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT, & HOW MUCH I APPRECIATED HIS KINDNESS OF MAKING THAT EFFORT. HE WILL BE MISSED GREATLY, BUT I TAKE COMFORT HIS SOUL IS FREE & HAPPY, & WE WILL SEE HIM AGAIN ONE DAY. PEACE, LIGHT, GRACE, GRATITUDE & LOVE TO YOU BOB. YOUR FRIEND, LAURIE ANDERSON. - Posted by: LAURIE ANDERSON (FRIEND) on: May 19, 2017

  • i am very sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Bob was a good friend to me back in the days at Star Lake as young trouble makers. It was a complicated life for Bob having been adopted at a young age and separated from his brother who he would later rediscover in his early twenties along with both his birth mother and father. At Star Lake there were good times that I remember fondly. Bob was a very talented water skier and I was the lucky one that got to drive the ski-boat for him for all summer. I would venture to guess that he would have done well competitively if he had ever gone down that path -Bob would claim occasionally that he was already a member of the provincial team but I knew better as Bob liked to weave a story now and again. For the times at Star Lake it was harmless mischief -setting off the bear cage which brought the entire cottage population down to see the catch or mooning the congregation at Keswick camp (that was Bob, not me, I drove the getaway boat -poorly). It was good fun and I think we balanced things off well that I probably kept Bob away from more serious endeavors and he provided some good risk taking adventures to my more cautious approach. Rest in peace Bob. Your friend Vince - Posted by: Vince Cmela (Friend) on: May 06, 2017
