Condolences & Memories (10 entries)

  • My long lost bro. So lame the way life works. When things are a little rough, we find the best of man, and when life is tame, we just sit back and enjoy, we discover nothing. My friend, you saved my life twice, and I grieve we didnt get to see any of our crazy plans through, You were an amazing friend at the worst time. I carry you with me... - Posted by: Bradley Taylor Schwartz (Long lost friends ) on: Oct 01, 2020

  • I am so sorry for your loss. All of us who knew Dustin have lost a true friend. I have known Dustin for 30+ years, since he and Richard started school. I have so many great memories of Dustin. Two of those memories really stand out. When my Mom came into Winnipeg for a visit she loved to bake cookies and her famous german buns. Dustin always seemed to know when these baking days would happen and he and Richard would help make the cookies and buns and then enjoy the reward of tasting what they baked. My Mom thought Dustin was great! When my Mom passed away Dustin drove out to my home town for the memorial service, I was so pleased that he honoured my Mom by being there. The other memory I have that stands out is how kind and supportive Dustin was when Richard's Dad Jack passed away. Many times Richard, Dustin and I and our dog would sit on the front steps of our house on Chancellor Drive and talk about Jack, Dustin just seemed to know when we needed to talk and he was there for us. Sure going to miss you, never ever forget you Dustin. - Posted by: Maggie Duncan (Friend) on: May 17, 2017

  • Sympathies to Dusty’s family and friends. I hope you all know, how much he loved and honored your connections. Dusty embodied so much heart; Tough and sensitive all at the same time. While Dusty and I had lost track of each other, going in separate ways with work, life, love, our own families and children, triumphs and struggles…. I still thought of him at times. Wondered and had hoped life had been treating him kind. I ran into him at the grocery store a couple of years ago…he was bursting with pride as he told me about his children. Like many of us parents, his greatest accomplishment! While heart ache and grief are inevitable at this time, so are tears of laughter while we share and reminisce. Peace and love to Dusty and all who loved him! - Posted by: Autumn (Friend) on: May 17, 2017

  • Dusty and I shared so many great moments in life together. We grew apart but I always thought of him. This week he has completely consumed my thoughts. Even though it's been years since we were together I still can't believe he is no longer with us in this world. We were best of friends, we were roommates, and we were family back then. I know he will be watching over his two little girls like he watched over and protected all of us closest to him while he was here. Much love Brandi - Posted by: Brandi Olenick (Friend) on: May 17, 2017

  • He was a great father to me and Tru. I will always remember his words "have I ever steered you wrong " when daddy picked our movie it was always always great! We will always love him. We loved the adventures and camping trips that we went on. I loved when he took us to his work. Love always Jay bear and Tru Blue❤️💋😘 - Posted by: Jaelyn (Daughter ) on: May 16, 2017

  • I have know Dustin as a wonderful amazing young man since he was a wee boy. He always enjoyed my chocolate chip cookies and always wanted to know when I was making more. Whenever he saw me walking home with groceries, he would always run out and help me carry them in. I will always remember his big infectious smile that always melted my heart. He loved to reminisce about the times when they were little and the mischief they (he and his brother) used to get into. He loved to kid around when he saw me by asking me what the weather was like down there ( me being very short and him very tall) . Quite the character. This is what I will remember and miss about Dustin. We must do more to support mental health and by doing so, must help to support this very needed service. Please donate to this is very needed charity. No one should lose a child. Judy - Posted by: Judy Holden Pang (Friend) on: May 16, 2017
