Joan was predeceased by her first husband Wilfred Clear, in 1974, and her second husband George Dumontet, in 2014. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 26 at St. Timothy's Parish, 135 John Forsyth Rd., Winnipeg. Interment and reception will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, friends may dedicate donations to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation or Catholic Organization for Development and Peace. I met Joan at Dakota House a few years ago and I will miss her terribly. We had brunch together everytime that I had the opportunity to bring communion to the Roman Catholics on Sundays. Joan would arrange for a group of the residents to sit with us for brunch and we always had a good time together.
