Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKAREN LEITCH October 12, 1955 - June 8, 2017 It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our mother, grandma, wife and friend, Karen Leitch. Born in Winnipeg, Karen grew up in Elmwood attending Elmwood Collegiate. Spending the last 32 years of her life living in East St. Paul, Karen involved herself in many activities with the community centre, including her work as the ways and means convener for the East St. Paul community centre. Karen's favourite place in the world to travel was Las Vegas. In addition to her regular Vegas trips, she got to see all the places in the world she had wanted to see. Her four grandkids always loved when she went on trips, as she would return with lots of goodies for all of them. She was the family saviour on many occasions, picking up her kids from late night parties, helping her grandkids get to dance, hockey and soccer, and always keeping everyone well stocked with toilet paper. She was a woman of simple pleasures. She loved chicken wings and nachos, cheap white wine and her "bad" TV. Karen loved her family deeply, leaving behind her husband, of 38 years, Nick, son Cole (Diana), daughter Danielle (Piotr), grandchildren Taylor, Elizabeth, Asher, and Everly, her brother Brian Donaghey, her constant canine companion Paris, many nieces and nephews, and many friends. Karen was predeceased by her parents Hugh and Jean, and sister-in-law Karen Donaghey. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Karen's name to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, CancerCare Manitoba, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Family and friends wishing may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550
