JERRY GOSSELIN It is with very heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jerry Gosselin. Jerry passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 11, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. This great man with a passion and zest for life was only 66. Jerry will be sadly missed by the love of his life, wife Suzanne, his two cherished children, Mark (Barb), and Donna (Terry Gamble) and his five precious grandchildren, Kyle, Jordan, Tayler, Daniel and Nathaniel. He also leaves to mourn his passing his three sisters, Elaine, Mimi, and Michèle (Dale Houston); mother-in-law Thérèse Lecocq and in-laws, Léo, Dianne (Tony Green) and Pauline (John Laplume). Jerry was adored by his nieces and nephews and quite frankly by all who knew him. He was predeceased by his parents, Victor and Simone, sister Lee and infant sister Yvette, brother-in-law Gerry; and father-in-law Omer Lecocq. Born on May 28, 1951, Jerry spent most of his life in Winnipeg. He worked at the City of Winnipeg, Fleming Pedlar, Hussman/ Ingersoll Rand for 26 years and then moved to Lowe Mechanical where he retired in July of 2015. He was respected in his trade and coworkers knew they could depend on him to solve any problem. He was known on the job for his whistling, singing and smiling face. A power engineer by trade, and a caring heart by design, Jerry was always the guy to call to fix just about anything or to come to the aid of anyone in need. Loving, loyal, respected and absolutely hilarious (in his quiet way), Jerry was the ultimate friend, the favourite uncle, the best bro, the kindest dad, the most caring husband! It was his unwavering devotion and love for his family, especially for his beautiful Suzanne who he adored, that placed him a cut above the rest. Before cancer took away his abilities, Jerry was an avid outdoorsman, relishing in camping, fishing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, skiing, snowshoeing and any "ing" that took him into the wilderness. He had a passion for travelling to hot beaches in the winter and pulling his camper throughout the countryside any time of the year. Jerry, while cancer slowly stole your body, your powerful inner strength and beautiful soul shone brighter. You inspired us all throughout your battle. The family wishes to express their thanks to the nurses and staff at the CancerCare St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate support for Jerry and Suzanne. A celebration of Jerry's life will take place at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 19, 2017 at the Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church, 500 Lagimodiere Blvd. A private family interment will take place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Those who wish to do so may make a donation in Jerry's memory to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. "Jerry, I thank God every day that you came into my life. You will always be in my heart and my soul." - Love you forever, Suzanne Family and friends wishing may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550

My sincerest condolences to Suzanne and Family. I worked at Fleming Pedlar/ Hussmann/IR for 24 of the years that Jerry was there. Always kept in contact with Jerry after I moved away from the city. Over all those years working together, and many out of town trips to Ontario with Jerry, there are so many fun stories, good times and memories that I have to remember him by. Suzanne & family, My sincerest condolences on the passing of Jerry. I had the honour of getting to know him over 19 years in the industry. Jerry would light up a room when he entered it. We loved hearing about his family and travel adventures and looked forward to his Christmas card every year. Words can't express our profound sadness. Our condolences to Suzanne and Jerry's family. From Jaye and I. I was fortunate enough to be part of the 7:00 A.M. coffee club with Jerry. We shared so many wonderful stories over the years. Really can't tell you the laughs we had but there were many. Over the last few months my friend Jaye and I were able to visit Jerry and Suzanne so glad we did. The last visit we had was at Jerry's & Suzanne's picnic table with the whole coffee crew. What a great day that was full of memories and the stories were flying around that afternoon. I can say that Jerry was loved by all his friends and I am so proud to have been one of them. RIP my friend. - Posted by: Gord Armour (Close friend) on: Jun 15, 2017
