SMERALDO (CHARLIE / JOHN) BISIO January 9, 1926 - June 12, 2017 Smeraldo is now at rest upon his peaceful passing. His family wishes to extend their gratitude to those that took very good care of him during his residency at the Oakview Care Home. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Ann of 73 years; daughters Diane (Glen predeceased) Hoodle and Barbara-Ann Smith; grandchildren Darren (Charlene) Corlett, Dean (Michelle) Corlett, Nikki (Ken) Schillberg, Whitney (Owen) Preston. Along with his nine beloved great-grandchildren, some of whom he helped care for along with Ann and all were loved so very much; Kyle, Kaitlin, Justin, Sean, Brad, Kelsey, Amy, Wade and Faye. Smeraldo emigrated from Italy when he was very young and met Ann at one of her first jobs at The Royal Alexandra of Winnipeg. He worked as a Carman for CN for 43 years retiring in 1991. During that time, he and Ann discovered Hawaii and made it their annual winter vacation spot. He also took great pride in his home and garden. He loved to fix and build just about anything. He was a gentle soul and will be missed by all those that had the pleasure of knowing him.
