DONNA MARIA BOSSUYT (nee ANDRYCHUK) June 3, 1942 - June 27, 2017 Not without a fight, our beautiful wife, mother and nana joined her grandson Derek and best friend Diane in heaven. Left to mourn her passing is her devoted husband George, children, Tami (Brad), Nancy (Don), Jeff, Greg, Jennifer (Reg) and Karen Goodale, and her grandchildren, Tess, Brendan, Gabrielle, Emma, Connor, Leah, Ryan and Michael, whom she all loved very much. Donna grew up in Fort Garry and became very close with the Watson family who always had their door open for her when she needed them. George was supposed to have bought a fishing boat the day he met Donna. As fate would have it he went to the Fort Garry pool and met her, getting more than he bargained for. She was the most creative, determined and fearless woman we all knew, outspoken and loyal to her family and friends. She could do most anything with whatever she decided to take on, be it landscaping her own yard, culinary skills, knitting and her greatest passion, water colours, which she mastered beautifully. So many memories of her getting ready for weekend camping trips, Sunday dinners at the Bossuyt household in which there was always room for one more at the supper table when friends were over. Dinner parties hosted for her friends where good times were always had by all. Puerto Vallarta, Mexico was her favourite place on earth to visit, spending a couple of months at a time and having friends and family visit her there. The love that she had for her grandchildren was unquestionable as her face always lit up anytime one of them entered a room and her smile can be seen in countless photos with them. She always said that they were the best looking grandchildren! These memories will forever be in our hearts. "You never give up on anything do you Mom? Of course not". Thank you to the nursing staff and health care aides at the Victoria General Hospital for their compassion and care when we were not able to be at her side. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba. As per Mom's wishes, a private, graveside ceremony will be taking place. Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • To Jeff and Connor: Donna's passing is such a tragic loss for your young family to share. Perhaps God gives us one matriarch, mother/grandmother because mourning her can be at times more than you can bear. Stay strong and find comfort in knowing she has now found a painless peacefulness in the afterlife. God bless. - Posted by: Anonymous (Friend) on: Aug 26, 2017
