Maurice was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, June, parents, Evelyn and William Tardiff, brother Leo, and sisters, Terri and Germaine. He leaves in his passing, son Tim (Val) grandson Nicholas, son Rick, granddaughter Danielle, brothers, Ovide and Joe, and sister Bernice, as well as many other relatives. Maurice was a man of his generation. He grew up in Pine Falls, Manitoba, however he spent most of his life in Winnipeg. He worked as an Electrician for Manitoba Hydro prior to his retirement. In his earlier days, Maurice had a great passion for camping, fishing and curling. In his later years he enjoyed spending quiet time with family, Sunday dinners, going for rides, and attending church. For several years Maurice battled with kidney disease. He developed friendships with the staff on the Dialysis unit at St. Boniface Hospital. He had great respect for these people and they in turn showed great respect for him. For the past one and a half years, Maurice called Cathedrale Manor his home. Thank you to everyone who made him comfortable and well cared for. A special thank you to Ronda and Jeanette for always making Maurice feel special. Thank you to Dr. Sherwood and the staff on 4B and A6 at St. Boniface Hospital for the care, compassion, and respect shown to Maurice. A celebration of Maurice's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Glen Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, with interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers and donations, we ask that you take time for family, hug often and always remember to say "I Love You".
