ROSE PIDSADNY (EVANCIO) July 2, 1926 - August 11, 2017 Peacefully, in the early hours of August 11, 2017, Mom was reunited with Dad. She is survived by her children, Wayne and Chris (Karen), as well as three grandchildren, Samantha, Rebecca and Benjamin. Mom was born and raised on a farm near Hubbard, Saskatchewan, with her five brothers and four sisters. In 1945, Mom left the farm and came to Winnipeg where she met the love of her life, Peter, in 1946. They were married in 1947. When Mom came to Winnipeg, she worked at Jacob Fashions as a seamstress, and later finding work at Eaton's Mail Order until the mail order closed down. After that, she remained at home, tending to her family and especially her gardens. Thank you to the staff at Victoria General Hospital 4 South, for the special care they provided Mom in her final days. A very special thanks to nurses, Linda, Nada and Nancy. Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg. Father Michael Krochak presiding.
