DARLYNE PATRICIA FAWLEY (nee BARBEAU) June 12, 1930 - July 8, 2017 It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of our mother Darlyne Patricia Fawley on July 8, 2017 at River Park Gardens. She is survived by her children, Gregg (Gail), Jayne (Vern) and Jeff (Cindy), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Darlyne was predeceased by her husband Edgar John Fawley, brother Ken Barbeau, and parents, Francis and Priscilla Barbeau. Darlyne grew up and lived in St. Vital, as a child she hunted rabbits with her father in the same spot she resided in the later years. She met Edgar and were married August 27, 1949. They lived and raised their family in St Vital. Mom, Dad and family spent many summers at the family cottages (Betula Lake, and Tannis Lake.) They enjoyed travelling with the Shrine until they finally settled in Palm Springs as their winter home. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at River Park Gardens and Oakview Place (1 North) for the care and compassion given to Mom during her stay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Darlyne's honour to the Winnipeg Humane Society. God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered "come to me". You are in our hearts till we see you again, love your family. A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., with reception to follow. Jayne, Jeff, Gregg I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I look back on many fond memories of my times with your mom and dad at Betula Lake and St. Vital and their great help when my own dad passed. When I told my mom of her best friend's passing she was very sad. We will and have missed both of them, but with all the great memories my sad heart will be filled with joy when I think of Dar and Ed and all the great years they were in my life.
