HELEN ALICE DESLAURIERS (nee PELEPCHUK) On Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Victoria Hospital, Helen DesLauriers passed away at the age of 85 years. Helen was predeceased by her father Stephen; mother Elizabeth; sister Margaret and father-in-law Gaspard. She will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband Rene; their children, Laurie DesLaurieres, Darcy (Julie Chang); grandson Bobby Chang; mother-in-law Emily; sister Lena Pelepchuk; sisters-in-law, Patricia, Rita, Doreen, Edna, Irene; brother-in-law Gerald and their families. Helen loved cooking, gardening and spending time with family. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 2, 2017 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Special thanks are extended to the nursing staff of the 4th floor Victoria Hospital for their care and support given to Helen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Helen to the Cancercare Foundation of Manitoba.
