BARBARA LYNN THOMAS (nee TAIT) In loving memory of Barbara Lynn Thomas who passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 8, 2017 after a brief illness at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 57 years. At the time, she resided in Gimli, MB and is survived by her partner, Chuck Gregory; daughters Rana Thomas and Carsen Thomas from Grand Marais, MB; as well as mother Joyce Tait and brother Bruce Tait of Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her father Gerald (Gerry) Tait. Barbara was born on December 12, 1959 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She received her high school degree from Westwood Collegiate in Winnipeg. After a short stay in Calgary, she returned to Winnipeg where she became an administrative assistant for Chromalox Canada. As well as being a house mom, Barbara had many jobs throughout her life, including stock clerk, and accountant/payroll administrator for a small business. She was a happy and cheerful person who enjoyed cooking, gardening and decorating. A private memorial service will be held. Special thanks to the people who cared for Barbara at Gimli Hospital and the Emergency Department of Health Sciences Centre.
