KALEY SKYE SYMONDS (LAVALLEE) February 21, 2000 - October 24, 2017 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our dear daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend, Kaley (Thunderbird Woman from the South), on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at St. Boniface Hospital. Kaley will live on with those who loved her, her mother Beverly Symonds; father Chad Lavallee; siblings, Cody, Alicia, Jaylinn, Karleaha, Desmond; grandparents, Jules Lavallee, Yvonne Richards, and Nigel and Wilma Symonds; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, including her special Uncle Bart and special Aunt Sheila. Kaley was predeceased by her grandmother Betty-Marie Lavallee (nee Swayze), in 2010. Kaley loved her indigenous culture and traditional ways. She loved to sing and dance including both traditional Pow wows and competitive Hip-hop. She was looking forward to her upcoming graduation, where she planned to pursue a career in social work. Her goal in life was to help others A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kaley's honour to the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG).
