ELLA ESCOBAR LICORISH January 10, 1943 - October 27, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Ella Escobar Licorish on October 27, 2017 at the age of 74. Ella was born in Candon City, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. She immigrated to Canada on November 17, 1970 and worked at the Manitoba Lottery until she retired on January 10, 1999. She was predeceased by her husband Fitzgerald, her loving parents Wenceslao and Caridad Escobar, and her older brother Melanio. Ella leaves to mourn her sister Luz de Castro, her nephews Christopher (Cherry Lyn) of Red Deer, Aristotle (Cherie) of North Carolina and Rex of Red Deer, niece Jennifer (Alan) of Winnipeg, great-nephews Christian, David Matthew, Alexander John and Ace, great-niece Christal, and other nephews, nieces and relatives in the Philippines. Viewings and funeral service will be held at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Boulevard, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Viewings are on Thursday and Friday, November 2 and 3, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., with prayer services to commence at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service is on Saturday, November 4 at 9:30 a.m. with reception to follow.
