Date of Passing: Nov 18, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIVAN ERZEN January 8, 1935 - November 18, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Ivan Erzen, on November 18, 2017, with his wife and daughter by his side. Left to forever cherish his memory are his loving wife Cvetka; daughter Ivanka (Garvin) and grandsons, Ryan (Megan) and Caelan. Ivan was born on January 8, 1935 in Croatia and immigrated to Canada in 1958 at the young age of 23 years. In 1966, while on a holiday back home in Croatia, he met and married his lovely bride Cvetka and they were inseparable for the next 51 years. They settled in Winnipeg, raising their only daughter Ivanka. A hardworking man much of his life, he spent close to 30 years with the Canadian Pacific Railway until his retirement in 1997. He then enjoyed the many quiet things in life, spending countless hours with his wife going for long daily walks, fishing, and carefully tending to his home and garden. A private family viewing and internment will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Seven Oaks General Hospital for their kindness and care of Ivan during his final days. Rest in peaceuntil we meet again. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550
