Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET ELLEN MCCOLM November 2, 1922 - November 22 2017 It is with great memories and much love that we remember Margaret McColm (nee Morgan). Margaret was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Ken McColm, her sister Joyce Glasgow and is survived by her children Edward (Sherrell), Bruce, and Marcia Forbes (Bruce) and her four grandchildren, Lee McColm (Karen) Shannon Forbes (Ryan), Kaitlin Forbes (Connor), and Kelsey Forbes, as well as great grandchildren, Caleb and Kai McColm, and Stella Green. A lifelong resident of St. Vital, attending Glenwood and Norberry schools, Margaret was employed by the Province of Manitoba in the attorney general's office as well as the municipal board office. She was an active participant for many years at St. Mark's Anglican Church, as well as Glenwood Community Club, Eastern Star, and the Daughters of the Nile. She was an avid volunteer along with Ken at the Museum of Man and Nature in their retirement years. Margaret and Ken enjoyed hosting family and friends at the cottage at Lester Beach, and treasured the time they spent with their grandchildren there. Margaret was an excellent cook, and enjoyed playing cards with the bridge group, square-dancing, camping, gardening, sewing and knitting were pastimes she enjoyed. She was a devoted mother to her children, and beloved "Granny" always eager and willing to spend time with her grandchildren. Her family would like to thank the kind staff at the Golden Links Lodge.
