JOYCE MARGUERITE AMELIA FORTNEY (ROGERS) 1924 - 2017 Peacefully in her sleep, our dear Mum and Nana passed away at the age of 93 at the St. Boniface Hospital on November 28, 2017. She was predeceased by her loving husband George in 2008, her parents, two brothers and one sister in England. She is survived by her four children, Toni, Josie, Sharon, Mark (Linda); grandchildren, Greg (Michelle), Stephen, Keith (Renee), Liza (Rob), Michael, Meaghan and Alex; great-grandchildren, Kate, Sarah, Mathew, Hannah, Noah, Erin and Cameron; great-great-granddaughter Melanie and one sister, Jo, in England. Joyce was born in Bournemouth, England and came to Winnipeg as a war bride in 1946. Mum had a great love of the outdoors and spent many contented hours nurturing her garden but her greatest passion was her family. Our deep sorrow is testament to her boundless love and devotion. The family wishes to express its sincere thanks to staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion. A private celebration of life has been planned.
