DANIEL FREDERICK DEJONG It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Daniel Frederick DeJong. Dan is survived by his daughter Alivia, son Christian, grandson Kacen, mother Ruth (Wayne), girlfriend Rachelle, siblings Deanna (Jim), David and Darwin, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Dan was predeceased by his father Wytze. Dan was born in St. Boniface and grew up in Windsor Park. After serving 32 years as an HVAC Tradesman and later Manager he attained his dream job with ITS Manitoba, Office of the Fire Commissioner as a Gas Inspector where he was looking forward to ending his career. Dan was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, campfires, spending time at Dogtooth Lake, socializing with friends and family and was a dedicated Jets fan. He was mechanically inclined and could fix or build anything. Please join us in a celebration of Dan's life, interment to follow, on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Pastor David Holland will be officiating. Our thoughts are with the Family. Dan was a great guy, and we will miss him. We always talked about fishing in Ontario and I will always remember the twinkle in his eyes, and the excitement, when it was getting close to the weekend so he could be out there.
