Macaltao passed away at age of 85 years. Marieta was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Martin Macaltao, and two infant children, Martinito and Marlina. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Erlito (Teofy), Marfelito (Bhel), Marita (Rafaelito), Maryvette (Odelio), Marichi (Rolando), Marflorendo (Esmeralda), Maryjoy Ann (Renald), Mariceille (Gerardo), and Maryflor (Florencio), 23 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many dear friends. Marieta was passionate in her work as a public school teacher. Her love of teaching and guidance transcended the classroom and became a cornerstone in her passionate faith. Goodbye, our Mama. We love you and will miss you so much. But there is no pain in seeing you go your way, as you were ready, you left in peace. You have found rest. Thank you so much for the love and prayers and teachings you gave us. You had worked so hard for all of us, your nine children, equally and steadfastly. We owe our grace, dignity and success from lessons of Daddy's and your life and love. Your life articulated well your teachings. We share these with each other as siblings, as you know each one of us would, like no other. Life, indeed, is very short, but it sure is enough for all it's worth well lived. And for as long as God breathes life onto us, we will celebrate your life everyday as we live up to your example and pass it on to your grandchildren. As you and Daddy had built a loving household for us growing up, so shall we look forward for the same in heaven. Till we meet again in His time. With much love. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Mass located at St. Emile Parish, 556 St. Anne's Road with Fr. Gerry Sembrano, Celebrant.
