Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDULCIE PRESTON Passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Mom was born in Crawley Down, England, on June 19, 1924. She was the eldest of the fmaily with one sister and four brothers. She married Allan Preston in England on March 7, 1945. They returned to Winnipeg in 1945, her as a war bride. Mom was predeceased by her brothers Jim, Ken and Tony, sister Audrey, husband Allan and granddaughter Patricia. Mom is survived by her son Barry, daughter Barbara (Bill) and grandson Kevin. Mom got into catering in the 1960's. Most of her early catering was at Shaarey Zedak Synagogue where she met and became well known with the Jewish clientele. She was hand picked to serve Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip when they came to Winnipeg. That is where she got the title of Royal Dolly. She and some of her girls worked for Barbara Reiss, catering for years. She truly was a perfectionist in her catering job. Mom was well known for her expertise and was very well noted with all her clients. Memorial service will be held at Elmwood Legion, 920 Nairn Ave., on Thursday, December 28, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the banquet hall. Love you Mom, we will all miss you.
