GISELE LOYER (GENDRON)
Date of Passing: Dec 30, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGISELE LOYER (nee GENDRON) 1946 - 2017 It is with heavy hearts the family wishes to announce the passing of Gisèle, who passed away peacefully with family by her side on December 30, 2017 at the Health Sciences Centre. Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 48 years, Guy; her son Joe (Christine Dubois); her daughter Julie Karatchuk (Daryl); her grandchildren, Serik, Anika and Jean-Luc, along with many family and friends. Along with her love of family, Gisèle had a special place in her heart for the cabin in Lac Du Bonnet. You could find her planting flower beds, painting rocks, picking blueberries, walking the trails, but mostly fishing. She loved being in the boat and spending an afternoon on the lake. The family wishes to thank her long time doctor, Dr. Hughes and her hematology specialist, Dr. Don Houston and all the wonderful staff in Clinic 5 and the Hematology Department, 3rd floor, at CancerCare Manitoba for all they've done over the past four years. Thank you also to the GH4 ward at Health Sciences Centre for all of their care and compassion in Gisèle's final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gisèle's honour to Canadian Blood Services, 777 William Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 3R4 or at www.blood.ca. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home with interment to follow at a later date. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550

When I first obtained my spot at the lake, Gisele and guy were two spots away. I soon learned they are fabulous neighbors, Gisele was fond of my grandson Seth , who would go visit her and have freezies and long chats, She was a gentle soul whos smile would light up the room, she was an important volunteer who put others before herself. she was the straight man to her husband Guy and his shenanigans. I could go on,but mostly I miss her big heart and our afternoon chats on her deck. My condolences go out to her husband Guy and her family . - Posted by: shelley simard (friend and cabin neighbor) on: Jan 07, 2018

Guy and Family, Our deepest sympathy in the loss of Gisele. She was such a kind person who accepted her illness with great dignity. We know how much she suffered and how well you took care of her when she needed you. We will miss her but know that she is no longer suffering. She is in a better place. Your memories will keep her close to your heart. Take care of yourself! Sincerely Dave & Louise Morgan. - Posted by: Dave & Louise Morgan (Friends & Neighbour) on: Jan 06, 2018
