Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDNA MAY BYFIELD December 24, 1925 - January 12, 2018 Edna May, or "Miss May" as she was affectionately called, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018 at St. Boniface Hospital. Miss May is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Tony and Mildred Beach, niece Carmen Nembhardt, two grandchildren, Peter and Melanie Beach, two great-grandchildren, Walker Jones and Mae Jones, Hyacinth and Ren Dacosta and their daughters, Julia and Megan. Miss May was born in the Parish of St. Catherine to Isabella Green, the youngest of Miss Belle's four children. She spent her growing up years in St. Elizabeth and Spanish Town, Jamaica. Miss May and Huntley immigrated to Canada in 1981. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. with viewing one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Our thanks go to Trudy, the many health care workers and the wonderful staff at St. Boniface Hospital 8th floor. The doctors and staff at CancerCare Manitoba were also a caring support. Miss May was always appreciative of the help she received from them, her many friends and loved ones.
