NORMAND JOSEPH ALBERT LE BLANC June 21, 1943 - January 20, 2018 It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather Normand Joseph Albert Le Blanc at the age of 74 on Saturday, January 20, 2018. Norman was born in Beebe, Quebec to Romeo and Jeanne Le Blanc. Predeceased by his beautiful wife Margaret, of 43 years, parents Romeo and Jeanne, brother Riel, and sister Anita. Norman will be forever missed by his three girls, Tanya (Ryan), Kimberly (Trevor) and Lisa (Damjan); son Gerry (Debbie); his adoring grandchildren, Amara, Brielle, Torri, Logan, Landen, Alyssa, Sara (Brent), Bailey (Jon) and Joel (Kaila), two sisters Helene (Chuck) and Rita, special niece Tara (Ron) and Peyton, many nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and extended family, Winston and Slippers. Norman has been a member of Local 254 for 53 years. He started his career there as a pipe fitter/steamfitter at a very young age. He loved to go to the lake, riding his quad to go see the eagles nest, taking putt putt out on the lake, watching the hummingbirds in the window at the cabin, fishing, ice fishing and snowmobiling in the winter, and most importantly spending time with family. A heartfelt thank you is extended to the wonderful and caring staff at St. Boniface Hospital 5A South. Thank you to Riverview for taking care of Dad in his final days. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Dad's memory. Condolences & Memories (11 entries)

  • Dear Tanya and family so sorry to hear about Norm my deepest condolences go you and extended family. I have known Norm since he started as a Steamfitter Apprentice, we went to trade school at the same time. We also worked many Steamfitting jobs in Manitoba and surrounding Provinces together. Norm was a man of few words and when he gave you his opinion on some thing it was well thought out and meaningful. Norm was an excellent Tradesman and had many good friends and Union Brothers in the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 254 and I am sure they all feel the same way I do. • I had the pleasure of meeting Margaret and Norman approx. October 1990. Their daycare was the talk of St.Vital. I had to go see what this wonderful place was that everyone was telling me about as I was searching for a daycare for my 5 month old son. I went and spent a 1/2 hour with them and I truly saw what everyone was talking about. This family was AMAZING. My kids spent many years with Margaret & Norm and it was with a HUGE broken heart we said our farewells but never goodbye, as my sons became school aged. But Margaret & Norm never forgot them. Thank you to all the members of the Leblanc family. I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad. Tanya, Kim, and Lisa my heart goes out to each of you.
