Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLESLEY PHYLLIS PRICE June 6, 1935 - January 27, 2018 Suddenly, but peacefully, Lesley passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 in the company of her husband Randy. Lesley was born in The Pas, MB to parents Phillip and Kerstin (nee Westman) Ridings on June 6, 1935. She grew up in Winnipeg and completed high school in The Pas, MB where she met her future husband Randy Price. Lesley always thought of others before herself and had an innate caregiving nature. She was loyal, kind, generous of spirit, and everyone who knew her loved her. Lesley graduated from Grace Hospital in 1957 with her nursing diploma and moved with fellow graduates and lifelong friends to Berkeley, CA in 1957 to begin their nursing careers. Lesley returned to Winnipeg in 1958 and practiced nursing at The Grace Hospital and concluded her profession in the maternity ward at St. Boniface Hospital. Lesley and Randy married and started their family and life of 56 years together in St. James. Lesley's loving kindness and sincerity drew many lifelong friendships she maintained from childhood her entire life. Her greatest gift was the unconditional, selfless care she gave to her husband Randy, and the daughters she loved so much. Lesley thoroughly enjoyed many trips over the years with Randy to Hawaii and then in latter years to Florida to visit their daughter Allyson. Lesley was predeceased by her parents, brother Glenn (2015), stepmother Margaret Ridings (2008), and sister Rhoda in infancy. Left to cherish Lesley's love and happy memories are her husband Randy Price, daughters Sydney (Barry) Wiess and Allyson (Bruce) Lomberk, sister Rosalind (Ian) Malcolm, grandsons, Brett, Drew and Craig Wiess, niece Lisa Jordan, nephew David, great-nieces and nephews Pamela, Amanda, Scott, Robert, and great-great nephew Owen. A very special thank you to Pat Mason who lovingly cared for Randy and Lesley for the last couple of years in their time of need. A celebration of Lesley's life will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive, Winnipeg, MB. Service will begin at 12:30 p.m. to be followed by a reception at the same location. Interment will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lung Association of Manitoba, 1 Wesley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4C6, mb.lung.ca. A tribute for Lesley can be found at www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com. "Mom, you will be deeply missed but the love you gave us will be cherished and felt forever."

I worked with Lesley at SBGH. She worked permanent nights and I worked permanent evenings. She would arrive for her shift bright and cheerful. It was very nice to know her, as she was very dedicated and a hard worker. My condolences to her family and friends. - Posted by: Myrna Malanik (co worker at SBGH) on: Feb 28, 2018

I have fond memories of working with Leslie at the start of my nursing career on the night shift. Leslie was always so kind and helpful and knowledgeable. It was nice to have a kind mentor like her. She always spoke so fondly of her family. I always admired how perfect she looked. She always smelled so nice with the Estee Lauder "Beautiful " perfume. Now whenever I smell that scent, I think of her. It's funny, I was just saying to my husband that I was thinking of her just the other day and was very sad to see her obituary in the paper. May you all cherish the beautiful memories you shared with her. She was a very special lady. I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Lesley. Lesley and Randy and my parents, along with many others, used to meet at the Holiday Inn (known back then as the Birchwood) almost on a daily basis over the last 40 years, they were like the "Breakfast Club" for Seniors. Occasionally over the years I had the pleasure of getting to know her quite well. I always remember Lesley as having a smile on her face and a warm greeting. She will be sorely missed by everyone that was blessed to know her. My condolences to the family, may you find peace in knowing how loved she was by everyone who knew her. - Posted by: Rebecca Vincent (friend of family) on: Feb 08, 2018

Lesley, you will be missed by so many people who loved you. I liked your sense of humor and the caring that you showed to others. I am most grateful to you for the decades of friendship and love that you and my mother shared. It is so very rare that people remain not only friends from elementary school but keep that friendship alive and flourishIng for the time we are here. My mom has so many happy memories to cherish. Thank you. - Posted by: Kenn Burgess (Friend) on: Jan 30, 2018
