Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY JOAN MULLER (nee EASTERBROOK) Dorothy Joan Muller (nee Easterbrook) born in East Sheen, London, England on July 17, 1925. Married John in Sidcup, England in 1951. Died Saturday, February 3, 2018 in Grace Hospital. Prior to meeting John and marrying, she worked in Stockholm at the Svenska Handelsbanken for a couple of years and learnt to speak Swedish fluently. With John and one year old, Susan she spent a short time in Bangkok, before returning to England and then they immigrated to Montreal in 1957, moving to Winnipeg in 1961. She was a traveler, feminist, activist, amateur writer and painter, while all the time devoting her life to supporting her husband and raising the growing family, with volunteer work on the side. In Winnipeg she was a board member of the YMCA, volunteer at the Art Gallery, the Assiniboine Park Pavilion, Meals on Wheels and worked with others to save the Tuxedo golf course. She also spent many years, in the early formation of Beyond Borders, with Roz Prober. Dance aerobics and, in the latter years, crosswords were her passion. A supporter of overseas foster children movements, in the past there is one Cleata, now living in Boston, who was very close to her. Regardless of adversities, she was always cheerful and above all funny. Deeply loved by her husband and family, Susan, Craig and Tim, also seven grandchildren, she was the great spirit in our lives. The song has ended but the melody lives on..... Family and friends may sign a Bookof Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550
