  • I was just copying my address book info into a new book when I came across Dan's name. I worked with Dan at Manitoba Hydro many years ago. He was definitely an "Original" and I still remember many funny Dan stories. He was a Hydro legend! I decided to go on-line and see if I could track him down. I was sad to see he's passed on. My condolences to Marlene and his family, unfortunately I'm 3 years late with them. I'm sure you'll be sharing funny stories of Dan's practical joke forays for many years. - Posted by: Linda Jackson (co-worker) on: Jul 08, 2021

  • I remember meeting you in my teens and you lend me one of your books you wrote. I think I read it in 3 days. You were a very talented writer. It always stuck with me. Thank you! - Posted by: M (Friend) on: May 26, 2019

  • I used to play cards with Dan at the Adamov household across the street on Cabot Crescent. I think he went downhill skiing with us, as well, and probably on the Dakota buses. I can see his photo in one of the yearbooks, with his eyes closed. I remember him as kind of a practical joker. I believe he also ran for mayor of Winnipeg, probably with some way-out ideas. Had I known he was in Riverview so long, I think I would have popped by. Jim Waite (high-school friend) - Posted by: Jim Waite (High school friend) on: Mar 08, 2018

  • My heartfelt condolences to Marlene and family. This sad news finds me in Phoenix and not able to attend the celebration of his life. I am thankful he is no longer suffering but will miss his sense of humour, pranks and card games. When Carl and I visited Dan he always greeted us with enthusiasm..... his eyes would light up and we knew one of his jokes was coming. We will miss you Dan. - Posted by: Dave Baumler (Friend) on: Mar 03, 2018
