Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • My sincere condolences to you Joyce and your family. I am so glad that I was able to meet with you and Stu last November. All his amazing work on the Stovel Family, some of which he passed on to me, has started for me a very rewarding, unbelievable journey as I have attempted to add to his great work. Thank-you Stu! • In 2003 Stu wrote that his son Geoff was retyping Harry C. Stovel's 1915 tree. About 1993 I used that 1915 tree and began contacting Stovels. Robb, Bonnie, Richard Carlton, Mary Bowley, Stu, James, and many others. August 20, 2017 was my last correspondence with dear Stu. He had broken his shoulder and some ribs. He was looking forward to his first golf game. We shared a lot in email and I have missed him. I'm sorry, Joyce for your big loss. Stu was so alive!!! I think he believed this verse: Romans 6:23. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." I think Stu did accept the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and am comforted knowing that "absent from the body, and present with the Lord". Stu loved his family and spoke of you. And he liked golf. I'll miss his "Cheers!" I'd like to keep in touch.
