BRIAN CARL ULPH January 12, 1948, Gravelbourg SK - March 10, 2018, Winnipeg, MB Wants you to know "I took the elevator to the top" - to reunite with those who went before me. Predeceased by his parents, Harry and Cora (Rud) Ulph. Brian will be lovingly remembered by his brother Gary; aunts, Bonni, Phyllis and Eileen; numerous cousins and their familiesHis kind heart and quick wit will be sorely missed by all those who shared in his life. Brian was an avid reader of all genres especially history. His love of sports was beyond measure. The favourite and the one he excelled in being baseball. Even naming his cat Willy Mays. His favourite teams to watch and cheer for were Montreal Canadiens, San Francisco Giants and the Cleveland Browns. In his younger years he made several trips to cheer them on in person Brian fought a valiant battle against colon cancer. A journey he chose to take alone. Brian valued his privacy. In recent years he was beset with many health issues. Always remaining a special human being to those he impacted as a positive light in their lives. Grateful thanks to Rick, Ken and Lloyd for their visits in his final days, and to ALL STAFF at N1 South for their compassionate care and concern. As per Brian's wishes there will be no funeral service. Interment will take place at a later date at Sunset Cemetery, Moose Jaw, SK. As an expression of sympathy, donations to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9, would be greatly appreciated. Brian and I worked together at Emco. Brian was a very dedicated employee and formed friendships easily. I had the pleasure of travelling to Boston with Brian and a couple other Emco friends to watch our HABS. Those memories will last forever. Brian will be missed by all that knew him. Saddened to read and hear about Brian's passing. Had the pleasure of working with him at Emco Supply and then years later meeting a few times at the Legion. Brian was a true gentleman, very easy to get along with and a pleasure to work with. Great stories as well. Thank you for being in our lives Brian.
