H. IRENE ANEMA Peacefully on Monday, March 19, 2018, Irene passed away following a two year journey with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband Ernie (Evert) Anema; her brothers, Arthur George (Valerie Dianne - who suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018), Bob (Denise), Jack (Maria); and sister Carol (Bernard). Irene was predeceased by her parents, George and Helen Elias (nee Wieler), James (Jim) Elias in 2015 (Maureen), and Katerine (Linda) Elias in 2016 (Ed). As per Irene's wishes no funeral service will be held. Cremation has taken place with private family interment to follow. Ernie and the family would like to thank Dr. Edward "Ted" St. Godard of the Palliative Care Program, and the entire staff of Wing 3 East for their kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Irene's memory to Riverview Health Centre Palliative Care Program, CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9 or a charity of your choice.
