VERA SIKOMAS (nee PACHOL) It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart I announce the passing of my Mother, Vera Sikomas. My Mom passed peacefully at the age of 98 (7 days short of her 99th birthday) at Vista Park Lodge on March 21, 2018. Vera was born March 27, 1919 in Winnipeg, MB. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph with whom she celebrated a marriage of 63 years. She also was predeceased by her parents, Natalie and Peter Pachol and her three brothers, Robert, Edward and Orest. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Jo-Anne (J.J.) Sikomas. Vera had a wonderful life. She loved tending her flower gardens, bowling with friends. She spent summers at the lake and winters in warmer climates or on cruises. She brought sunlight and laughter to everyone who knew her. She will be missed by all whose life she touched. Special thanks to the caring staff at Vista Park Lodge where she was attended to with love and compassion during the last year of her life. In accordance with Vera's wishes, there will not be a formal funeral service. Cremation and interment has taken place on March 28, 2018.
