Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARLENE REVA GOLDBERG It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marlene Reva Goldberg, at the Riverview Health Centre, on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at the age of 85. Loving wife of the late William (Bill) Goldberg. Beloved mother of Carol (Sam) Simkin and Susan (Ron) Barsky. Proud grandmother of Michael (Sherri) Simkin, Aaron (Brittany) Simkin, Jonathan (Jodie) Simkin, Rebecca (Oded) Abraham and Sara (Danielle) Barsky. Great-grandmother to Oliver, Sienna and Skye Simkin, as well as Natan, Uriel and Shai Abraham. Survived by her brother Irving Katz and his wife, Florence as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Marlene was born on March 3, 1933 and raised in Winnipeg. Marlene was married to Bill for over 43 years. Marlene was an excellent stay-at-home mom and family was her first priority. She was an avid bridge player as well as always physically active, from working out at the Reh-Fit Centre, to playing golf. Marlene's greatest joy was being a Baba to her grandchildren. Marlene's later years were spent battling Alzheimer's disease, which she did so valiantly. The funeral was held at the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue on Wednesday, March 29 and was officiated by Rabbi Anibal Mass. Pallbearers were Sam Simkin, Ron Barsky, Michael Simkin, Aaron Simkin, Gerry Hochman and Grant Zipursky. The family would like to thank the staff at the Riverview Health Centre in the AB2 Alzheimer's Unit for the excellent care given to our mother over the last three years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Riverview Health Centre Foundation for the Alzheimer's Centre of Excellence Project, in memory of Marlene Goldberg. Donations can be made by calling 204-478-6271 or on the website at www.rhcf.mb.ca. Mom, we miss you very much! Rest in peace!

I wish to send my condolences to the family. Even though Marlene battled Alzheimer's disease, her warm, fun loving spirit shone through and I remember having so much fun dancing, singing painting and laughing together. Marlene always had a kind word and a hug and will be missed. - Posted by: Cheryl Lindsay (Friend) on: May 01, 2018
