DAVID CLYDE FERGUSON With broken hearts we announce the passing of David Clyde Ferguson, in Winnipeg, on April 2, 2018. For 10 years, David struggled with early onset Alzheimer's Disease. He was born and raised in Fort Frances, Ontario. David held various positions with CIBC for 30 years throughout Northwestern Ontario and Manitoba. After his retirement from the bank, David was employed by the New Home Warranty Program of Manitoba. On August 14, 1971 he was married to Jane McLeod and raised three wonderful children together. David valued his family above all else and cherished the time spent with them. He enjoyed fishing, travelling, golf, and time spent at the cabin at Bears Pass. The value of family and the memories he has instilled in all he connected with will last forever. David was predeceased by his parents Clyde and Lydia Ferguson, and his parents-in-law Ernest and Barbara McLeod. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jane (McLeod) Ferguson, daughter Lana Ferguson, and sons Jason (Christine) Ferguson and Christopher Ferguson (Jennifer). He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Josh, Destiny, Clarissa, Evan, Alexis, Aiden and Autumn. David leaves to mourn his sisters Marie (Seppo) Viherjoki and Angela (John) Kepes, sister-in-law Carol (Robert) Readman, brother-in-law Mark (Donna) McLeod, favourite aunt Josephine Belluz; and many beloved nephews, nieces, and cousins. Our family is forever grateful for the kindness and love from David's "family" at River East Personal Care Home. They always took such good care of him. Visitation will be held at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd; 401 Kildare Ave. West, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on April 8. Funeral service will also be at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd at 12:00 noon on April 9. Following a luncheon, interment will be at Transcona Cemetery, 5014 Dugald Road. • I am so sorry to hear that David has passed away. My most vivid memory of him is at our wedding, many many years ago; a sweet and beautiful little boy. My late husband, Mario, was very fond of David and his sisters and mentioned them often when he reminisced about his time in Fort Frances. Please accept our deepest condolences and prayers.
