SHANE JONES Shane Jones died peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital, on Sunday, April 8, 2018, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Shane will be sadly missed by his wife Luci Stebner, sons Rowan and Drew; parents Ellwood and Gayle Jones; sister Laura Blakley (Wade, Aiden and Serena); Eddy Stebner (Alexandra, Sunny); and Ruth Whitelock and Arnold Stebner. Shane was born on July 14, 1969 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in military service following high school. Shane graduated with distinction from the Biotechnology program at SIAST and moved to Winnipeg and began working with the Public Health Agency of Canada. He was married in 2009 and blessed with the births of his sons in 2010 and 2014. His battle with Cancer was nothing but filled with grace, courage and humour. A funeral is scheduled for Thursday, April 12 at 1:30 p.m. at Douglas Mennonite Church. Celebration of Life to follow at 4:00 p.m. at the King's Head Pub. In lieu of flowers, Shane asked that donations be made to the Bear Clan Patrol Inc. for their tireless work in our city. A go fund me page has been set up as a trust fund for his boys.
