AGNES (DOREEN) MCKAY 1926 - 2018 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Doreen (nee Jenkinson) McKay on Monday, April 9, 2018. Doreen is survived by her sister Wyn Bailey of Calgary, AB; nephew Paul Bailey and family of Calgary, AB; niece Allison Pagett and family of Kimberley, BC. Special to her are her two grandnephews, Conner Bailey and William Pagett. She is also survived by her niece Lesley Renton and family of Calgary, AB; brother-in-law Donald McKay; nieces and nephews from the McKay clan in Toronto, ON; nephews, Philip and Don Nevile and families of Winnipeg and Toronto, as well as various cousins in Scotland. She was predeceased in 1970 by her husband, Rev. Jim McKay. In her early years Doreen taught Sunday school and assisted in leading an Explorer group at Kildonan United Church. After a sojourn in Glenboro, MB, she was active as a tour guide for the Winnipeg Art Gallery and volunteered at the Museum of Man and Nature where she worked on dinosaur bones. She gave her time at Knox United Church in their Food Bank distribution and Thrift Shop. On Wednesday, April 18, 2018, Doreen's Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Avenue at Sharp Boulevard.
