FRANK SABATINI It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frank Sabatini, son of William Anthony Sabatini and Nellie Sabatini, at the age of 70. Frank was born in the Brooklands district of Winnipeg and spent his working career in the employ of Canadian Pacific Railway until his retirement. Creating his life with the support of a diverse and loving family, Frank was renowned for his tenacity and heartfelt willingness to support his family and friends at all times. Extremely talented artistically, mechanically and, most importantly, fatherly, he and his wife and lifelong love, Gale (nee Sorby), developed a nurturing and flourishing environment for their children Dero (Saveria), grandchildren Dario and Mia; Joe (Brandy), grandchild Eva; and Aaron. Supported by his father William, his mother Nellie and brother Joe, Frank always appreciated, embraced and promoted family, friendship and the support of others less fortunate. Both Frank and Gale created a positive sense of family which has been inherited by their children and other close members of family. Frank's departed and beloved sister and brother, Mabel and Joseph, were always in his prayers. In Frank's later years he enjoyed his time with family at his beautiful house on Lake Winnipeg. Both he and Gale also enjoyed life with friends in Mazatlan, Mexico, where many relationships were developed that will be cherished by family forever. Mazatlan was Franks's home away from home where both he and his soulmate, Gale, spent rewarding days and nights with great friends and visiting family, and where World Junior hockey games were enjoyed and analyzed. The family would like to give special thanks to all who extended to us their unwavering support during the past year. If so desired and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice in Frank's name. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 24, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave., officiated by Rev. Father Sam Argenziano.
