GENEVIEVE LOUISE EVAN (née KANESKI) April 26, 1930 - December 4, 2017 Genevieve passed peacefully after a lengthy illness she bore with grace and calm. Artist, musician, dedicated gardener, fundraiser and shuffleboard ace, were a few of her talents. Mostly she dedicated her life to her family, always putting the needs of others before her own. No task daunted her and she keenly volunteered for the community and church. In her later years, she returned to full-time study achieving a Diploma in Art with Honours at the University of Manitoba. She embraced life to the fullest and was never sullied by adversity. Genevieve will always be loved and missed by all who had the privilege of her friendship. Genevieve is survived by her husband John, five children, brother, and six grandchildren. A celebration of Genevieve's life will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg, on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.
