Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • My deepest and most sincere sympathies to Joan, Annette, Dennis and their families. John Alix was an incredible person who walked through life sharing his friendship, his incredible life experiences and his wealth of knowledge and wisdom to many. He touched the heart of many many people with his kindness, his humour and his positive outlook on life. There are many practical pieces of advise and words of wisdom that Johnny taught and shared with me that I still carry with me to this day. I have so many wonderful memories and feel truly blessed to have known Johnny. An incredible man...a legend in his time. The world has lost a humble hero. Rest in Peace. - Posted by: Marie Halley (Friend) on: Apr 25, 2018

  • The entire Alix family was very close to my family during our time at Berens River and Muckie & I reconnected at my own father's funeral. My heart is breaking for all of you!! I will never forget him saying "All pretty girls kiss me". Rest in peace. - Posted by: Monique Gibbons (nee Carlson) (Family Friend) on: Apr 25, 2018

  • My deepest condolences to Joan,Annette & Dennis and all their families. I remember John best when I was a little girl growing up in Berens River when he had his store on the island. He loved it when my mom Eva & I would go over to do our shopping,he got in a little visit each time. He was always so kind and attentive to every customer's need. RIP Johnny.
