ROXANNE BRENZEN Surrounded by her loving family, Roxanne Brenzen passed away peacefully on February 23, 2018. Beloved wife of 57 years to James. An amazing, loving mom to daughters, Cindy (Wayne) and Sandy (Kelly). A very special grandma to grandsons, Tyler, Spencer and Austin. Roxanne was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Eileen and sister Gladys. Left to cherish her memory are siblings, Dwight (Diane), Cameron, Mark (Sandy), Geordan, Cheri, Kim (Doug) and brother-in-law Albert, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and godchildren. Her love of life was evidenced through her passion for travelling, gardening and watching any sport her grandsons participated in, including soccer, hockey and archery. She was the best host and enjoyed having family and friends over. Whether it was a dinner for four or a buffet dinner for 30, there was always more than enough food to go around. Mom accepted her diagnosis of cancer with such strength and courage! She worried about her family and wanted to stay with us to celebrate special events. Her struggle is now over and she is at peace... An angel in heaven now looking down upon us lovingly. More than thanks go to her sister and our aunt, Kim, who initially visited weekly when Mom was at home and then daily while Mom was in the hospital. Aunt Kim stayed with her and took care of her, talked to her and made her laugh! Aunt Kim became our angel on Earth. Although Mom's last month of life was spent in the hospital, visits from family and friends ensured there was much love and laughter in her final days. The family also thanks the staff from Concordia Hospital N1 South, Palliative Care, CancerCare St. Boniface and the GI doctors at Health Sciences Centre. A memorial service will take place Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodière Blvd., Pastor Jason Zinko from Sherwood Park Lutheran Church officiating. Glen Lawn Funeral Home in care of arrangements. Due to severe allergies, please do not wear any scented products.
