Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNICHOLAS ADAM RICHARDSON August 18, 1979 - April 27, 2018 Peacefully, surrounded by family at his home in Ear Falls, Ontario, Nick Richardson passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Amy, stepchildren, Benjamin and Caitlyn, father Donald (Celia), mother Gloria, stepfather Donald (Sally), siblings, Dave, Larissa (Casey), Patricia (Tim), Donnie and Jilu (Weiwei), grandmother Rose, and many other family and friends in Winnipeg and Ear Falls. He was predeceased by his twin sister Nichole, uncle Kenneth, and grandparents, Manson, Pauline and Robert. Nick was born and lived most of his life in Winnipeg, attending Ecole Laura Secord, River Heights Junior High, and Kelvin High School. As a boy, he sang in St. George's Anglican Church choir and competed as a treble in the Winnipeg Music Festival. Nick developed a love of cooking from a young age, leading to his work as a chef in several Winnipeg restaurants. Although, if you asked him, there was no better food than his Aunt Judy's meatballs. He was also a skilled mechanic; he and his father spent countless hours in the garage, working on cars and lawnmowers together. He single-handedly renovated his mother's kitchen, and was prone to taking apart and rebuilding anything he could reach. Nick obtained his pyrotechnician licence and worked with Archangel Fireworks on many impressive displays, including major concerts, Blue Bomber games and Canada Day celebrations throughout the province. Nick moved to Ear Falls two years ago with Amy, where they lived in a lovely house on the lake and adopted their beloved rescue dog, Munch. Together, they helped Amy's parents, Dave and Candy, manage Wilsons' Fine Foods. Nick loved being surrounded by nature, spending many summers exploring Riding Mountain and Lake of the Woods. Nick was known for his warmth and charm, and was able to establish an instant rapport with everyone he met. Nick touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed. A celebration of Nick's life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 11 at St. George's Anglican Church, 168 Wilton Street. Eucharist at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Canadian Cancer Society or Memory in Miles.

I met Nick when I was 15. We instantly hit it off. We were best friends for years. He was a huge part of my life for a very long time. I will miss his laugh and his humor. He was so funny and witty. Smart. His smile infectious. I had been dreaming about you lately. Wondering how you were. I am so sad to read of your passing. Heaven gained the most amazing angel. Gone too soon Nick. <3 - Posted by: Stephanie (Friend) on: May 05, 2018
