After graduation, he spent almost his entire career in the window and door industry, where he held a variety of positions and was well respected. He retired from Jeld-Wen Windows and Doors in 2014. In his spare time Allan enjoyed following the Winnipeg Jets, attending open training practices and home games, curling both as a participant and as a fan, NFL football, especially his beloved Steelers, puttering in the garage, and old movies. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family. He was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. Allan had one of those rare golden spirits . He had a perception to bring up concerns, ask the right questions and provide solutions before they became problems . Al was also known as a man of great integrity . This earned him great respect of many . I relied on Al a great deal while we worked together . Times would have been much more difficult without his input . I was honored to work with him for so many years . - Posted by: Gordon Seier (Coworker ) on: May 09, 2018

Al was such a lovely man and wonderful friend. We were truly shocked and saddened by his passing and our hearts go out to Ann, Scott and Katelyn and their families. We have many fond memories of our days playing slo pitch with Al and Ann and the "boys" will certainly miss him at curling. New Year's celebrations will not be the same without him! Condolences to all Al's extended family. We are so sorry for your loss. Bill and Sue Stevenson - Posted by: Sue and Bill Stevenson (Friends ) on: May 05, 2018
