CHRISTOPHER EDWIN BEDARD With his wife of 62 years by his side, Christopher Edwin Bedard passed away peacefully in his sleep, on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at the age of 87. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Agnes; daughters, Marcella (grandsons, James and Sean) and her partner Rob and Michelle (granddaughter Suula and grandson Kadison). Chris was born and raised on a farm in Fisher Branch, MB on August 10, 1930. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Clara Bedard and was the last surviving child of eight siblings. Chris met the love of his life, Agnes in Winnipeg in 1952 and they married on October 8, 1955. In 1973 they adopted their first beautiful daughter, Marcella and then their second, Michelle in 1975, soon after they built their lifehome in East St. Paul. He was a true jack-of-all-trades, avid hunter and fisherman, but above all a proud, loving, hard-working, and sacrificing husband, father and grandfather. The majority of his career was spent as a Government Inspector with the Winnipeg Livestock Commission until retiring at the age of 60. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held one half hour prior to the service. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Maples Long Term Care Facility for the support, consideration and love they received as they walked with Chris on his journey home.
